THE IMPACT OF REMOTE PATIENT MONITORING ON GLYCATED HEMOGLOBIN FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES: A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL

mHealth solutions can increase access to diabetes care, while remote patient monitoring (RPM) has shown improvements in clinical outcomes. Less research is available on scaling mHealth solutions that support RPM to meet the needs of clinics serving people with type 2 diabetes (T2D).

Glooko conducted this study to determine if a comprehensive RPM diabetes management program was more effective in reducing HbA1c compared to usual care.

The conclusion was a comprehensive 24-week RPM diabetes management program was more effective in improving HbA1c compared to usual care for adults with T2D.
